Shore Laminates commitment to environmental issues is a major part of our long term business plan. The raw materials, production processes and disposal of waste are issues that are constantly addressed in the development of the business. One of the major changes that has been implemented is the introduction of Medite Exterior Grade MDF as a core material for WetWall panelling.
Medite Exterior Grade MDF is a product manufactured by Weyerhaeuser Europe in their Clonmel plant in County Tipperary, Ireland.
Medite Exterior is a high quality, exterior grade medium density fibreboard. Together with the rest of the range of Medite MDF products, only sustainable supplies of softwoods from third party FSC certified managed forests are used. These include recovered wood residues and by-products from forestry and the sawmilling industry.

Re-investment in WetWall
	The recent introduction of a new PUR hot melt bonding line has brought a new level to the quality and appearance of WetWall. The new process eliminates the need for pneumatic pressing greatly reducing the risk of surface irregularities and producing a mirror like surface on the high gloss designs.
A new shrink wrapping line has also been recently comissioned. The new packaging system for the WetWall panels will increase the product protection in transit and facilitate the inspection of materials on delivery.
